MementoMartini is a personal cocktail-logging application operated by Ben Roesch. This policy explains what the application stores, why it stores it, and who else can see it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and your display name.
- A password hash. If you set a password, we store a bcrypt hash of it. We never store the password itself.
- Sign-in connections. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the provider name and the account identifier that the provider gives us. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
- Session records. The IP address and the browser user-agent string for each active sign-in.
- Your content. The pours you log, including the rating, the date, and any notes, location, or occasion you enter. Also your bookmarks, your shopping list, and any recipes you create.
What we do not collect
MementoMartini runs no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect payment details. We do not collect location data from your device.
Why we collect it
We use your account details to identify you and to let you sign back in. We use session records to keep you signed in and to let you see and end active sessions. We use your content to show you your own cabinet, history, and shopping list. We do not use your data for any other purpose.
Google and Apple sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we request the email and
profile scopes. We use them only to create your account and to
show your name. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address and,
on the first sign-in only, your name. We use them for the same purpose.
MementoMartini's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else can see your data
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. These service providers process data on our behalf so the application can run:
- Railway. Application hosting and the PostgreSQL database, in the United States.
- Cloudflare. DNS and content delivery for mementomartini.com.
- Google and Apple. Sign-in, if you choose to use it.
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Cookies
MementoMartini sets two cookies. One identifies your sign-in session. One holds the Rails session, which carries the cross-site request forgery token. Both are strictly necessary. We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your content until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days, or when you sign out.
Your choices
You can edit your pours, bookmarks, shopping list, and recipes at any time inside the application. To get a copy of your data, or to delete your account and everything in it, email [email protected]. We will act on the request within 30 days.
Children
MementoMartini records alcoholic drink recipes. It is not intended for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
